One option for entering beach volleyball matches is to post the relevant scores directly into the NSCM. This document describes that process. This method of entry is designed for matches which are already complete and need to be published to the NCAA. You may enter scores while a match is in progress, but there will be no "live scoring" display for fans and viewers with this method.

If you need assistance creating an account in the NSCM, we suggest reviewing the

At any time during the entry, you can click "Save Changes" to save your progress and close the window. To continue entering, simply re-open the match and your previous progress will be present. Clicking Cancel or closing the window will delete any current progress.

1. Locate the match you wish to enter from the Games List. Click the match to open up the entry window.

2. Game Info window - This window contains the relevant information for the match. The fields marked in red are fields the user can edit directly. The other fields are calculated based on the pair results in the match, or are set from the NCAA database.

3. Pair scores windows - The Pair 1, Pair 2, Pair 3, Pair 4, Pair 5 windows are where the user will enter in the set scores for each pair. First, select the players competing in the Pair. You will not be permitted to select the same player for both positions in a pair, or use a player that is already selected in a different pair. The software will warn you when you have an invalid player in the lineup.

4. Entering Scores - Enter in the proper set scores for each pair. When you begin entering scores, you will see the Game Status change from "Scheduled" to "In Progress".

5. Entering Scores - If the user enters a score which is not valid (such as the winning team being greater than 21 points, with a margin greater than 2) the software will warn you that you have an invalid score.

6. Entering Scores - When you finish entering a valid score for a Pair, the Game Status will change to "Complete" and the Winning Team will be indicated. You may then indicate the Order of Finish for this pair among the five Pairs played. The software will alert you if you select the same Order placement as another pair.

7. Completed Match - Once valid scores and Order of Finish are entered for all five Pairs, return to the Game Info window. You'll see that the Match Points have been updated based on the Pair results entered, the winning team has been denoted, and the Game Status is now "Complete". At this point, the user should update the team records, duration, and the attendance if they have not done so. Now, the user can use the "Download" button to generate a Game Book with the Match Results. You may also use the "Send" button to send the Game Book to designated e-mail addresses.
